About the founder & chef

Born in a country full of diversity and culture like Singapore, I find great familiarity in London. Although my background is rooted in Chinese Singaporean cuisine, I have been exposed to various cuisines from a young age. choosing just one cuisine to cook has always been the hardest part, which is why, over the years, I've evolved into an Asian-Western fusion chef.

My passion for food began with my dad, a retired chef in Singapore who successfully ran multiple businesses, including 1A Crispy Curry Puffs and Soon Soon Huat Seafood Restaurants. I grew up in these establishments, working there from a young age. However, like many parents, mine didn’t want me to endure the same hardships they did, so I was steered toward the corporate world. Unsurprisingly, I found no joy in it. Three years ago, I made the decision to switch careers and step into the culinary world. I began training at Leiths School of Food & Wine and moved on to working in a restaurant in 2023. Now, I’m embarking on a new journey as a supper club host, sharing my creations—many inspired by my dad, his recipes, and my own cultural experiences.
